Travelling to the Yorkshire Moors and Coast by Train

National Express East Coast (previously GNER), Virgin Trains and Transpennine Express run services to York, Leeds and Darlington from all parts of the country,from where there are regular connections to Thirsk, Northallerton, Scarborough, Malton and Filey.

The Esk Valley route runs from Middlesbrough to Whitby via Great Ayton and Castleton, whilst the Wolds Coast line runs from Hull to Filey and Scarborough.
