2010 UCI Mountain Bike Cross-Country World Cup at Dalby Forest 23rd - 25th April 2010

The first round of the 2010 UCI Mountain Bike Cross-Country World Cup takes place in Pickering and Dalby Forest between the evening of Friday the 23rd and Sunday 25th of April 2010.

The weekend kicks off with a "sprint eliminator" event in Pickering Town centre on Friday evening between 6 and 8pm. Elite riders will race in groups of four winding their way through the town's narrow streets and alleys with the fastest finishers qualifying through to the final. The racing will be the centrepiece of what promises to be a spectacular and exciting opening to the weekend.

A full programme of activities and races will be taking place in Dalby Forest on the Saturday including the Junior round of the UCI Mountain Bike World Cup and an opportunity for the public to sample the course for themselves in a new mass participation ride. The event reaches a climax on Sunday when the elite men and women line up for the blue ribband events of the weekend
